Le samedi soir 17 février 2024, et en présence de notre évêque Mgr Milad El Jawich, le CMYA a eu l'honneur d'accueillir Sœur #Chantal_Desmarais de la communauté des Sœurs de Charité de Sainte #Marie-Clarac, qui est venue nous partager sa riche expérience au #Synode sur la Synodalité qui a eu lieu à #Rome en octobre 2023. Sœur Chantal a été choisie parmi les quatre Canadiens non-évêques qui avaient le droit de participer aux actes de ce Synode. Elle nous a parlé aussi de son expérience en tant qu’enseignante de karaté et #joueuse de #hockey.
Des jeunes de la Cathédrale Saint-Sauveur, de Saint-Élie et de Notre-Dame-de-l’Annonciation, ainsi que de nombreux autres jeunes connectés via Zoom depuis diverses régions du Canada, ont participé à cette soirée enrichissante.
L'exceptionnelle expérience de Sœur Chantal au Synode, associée à son implication dans le karaté et le hockey, a significativement influencé sa manière de prêcher l'évangile, lui conférant un atout unique dans sa mission. Son témoignage, mêlant foi, sport et engagement communautaire, est un rappel vibrant que la spiritualité peut s'exprimer à travers les diverses facettes de notre vie.

On Saturday evening, February 17, 2024, in the presence of our bishop Mgr Milad El Jawich, the CMYA had the honor to welcome Sister Chantal Desmarais from the community of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Mary-Clarac, who came to share her rich experience at the Synod on Synodality that took place in Rome in October 2023. Sister Chantal was chosen among the four non-bishop Canadians who had the right to participate in the acts of this Synod. She also talked about her experience as a karate teacher and hockey player.
Youth from Saint-Sauveur Cathedral, Saint-Élie, and Notre-Dame-de-l’Annonciation, as well as many other young people connected via Zoom from various regions of Canada, participated in this enriching evening.
Sister Chantal's exceptional experience at the Synod, combined with her involvement in karate and hockey, has significantly influenced the way she preaches the gospel, giving her a unique asset in her mission. Her testimony, blending faith, sport, and community engagement, is a vibrant reminder that spirituality can be expressed through the various facets of our life.
